Search Notes - INTRODUCTION |

" I searched for Him and knew not what I
searched for."
" I longed for Him and knew not what I longed for." " Then I found Jesus and knew that I would search no more." " He filled that longing down in my soul." Have you ever felt a yearning deep down inside yourself that you just couldn't explain? Is there a longing in you that can't be satisfied? Has the thought crossed your mind that there is much more to life and you feel that pull to search for the answer? If you have, don't feel alone. Everyone has felt these emotions. It is these soulful feelings that are the driving force of our existence and the things that we pursue throughout our lives. Through achievements, accreditation, material possessions, wealth and pursuit of greater universal knowledge we try to fill the void. These are great traits in one's personality, but they are vain replacements for true fullfillment. In the scramble to find fulfillment in life all persons come to crossroads. It is here, at that junction, they make the decision that will develop their personal destiny. Some settle for what they have and put the quest to rest. Some steel themselves and forge ahead in their own power grasping at whatever they can acquire. Some glimpse the real picture and try to cloud it over in a haze of surreal dreaminess and vanity. Some become bitter and place blame on everything around them. Some become totally lost in the darkness of life threatening addictions. Sadly, all of these become imprisoned and held captive in their choices. Then there are those who begin to see and step out beyond the temporal disillusions, and become illuminated with the knowledge that only God can free us from our captivity and completely fill the void. It is in Him, and Him alone, that we live, and move and have our being. Creation was made for man, and man was made for the Creator. We are created in His own image! He loves us! God, being alone, created man to return back to Him -- love, adoration and fellowship. God is love. It is His likeness. It is His fullness. It is impossible for mankind to feel complete without love. That is one of life's certainties.
The search after God is a phenomenal journey. Relevant Scripture:
